Region 1 Escambia County - Vincent Harris leaves Escambia County after just three seasons with a 12-18 record at the school. 2025 Season - Vacant Region 2 New Brockton - Jason Barnett 2025 Season - Vacant Region 3 Handley - Larry Strain retired from the sidelines at Handley in January. His career record as a head football coach is 186-122 over 26 seasons at three different schools. He spent 15 years at Woodland, one year at White Plains and 10 at Handley. His teams reached the playoffs in 21 of those 26 seasons and won six region championships, two at Woodland and four at Handley. He also won two state championships at Handley. 2025 Season - Chris White, long-time defensive coordinator at Handley and also head softball coach at Handley has been named as Strain's successor. This will be his first head coaching job. Region 4 American Christian - Cody Martin departs American Christian following just four seasons with a record of 31-15 including three seasons where his teams qualified for the playoffs. His first two teams won region championships. 2025 Season - Austin Grammer was a three-sport athlete at American Christian playing, baseball, basketball and was a star football player for the Patriots from 2009-2012 under Coach Hooks. Coach Grammer led the Patriot's basketball team to a runner-up spot in the playoffs last season as the interim head coach. Tarrant - Matt Stockton leaves Tarrant after just two season that produced a 3-17 record. The Wildcats will be in search of their fourth head coach in the past five seasons. 2025 Season - Greg Appling Pleasant Grove - Darrell LeBeaux 2025 Season - Durrell Fuqua Region 5 Fultondale - Keon Handley 2025 Season - Jake Hogan worked previously as the offensive coordinator at Pinson Valley High School. His most recent experience was as the Offensive Line Coach and Run Game coordinator at Hoover High. This will be his first head coaching job. Region 6 Ashville - Kirakias Shepard leaves Ashville after just two seasons with a record of 1-19. His teams could not quite find that winning formula during his brief stint as the head football coach. So the Bulldogs will be in search of their twelfth coach since 2000. 2025 Season - Mark Sanders graduated from the University of Alabama and was a member of the football team from 2001-2005. He holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama in Human Environmental and Consumer Sciences. He played high school football at Ashville High School and was coached by John Grass.
